Summary of the role

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role is responsible for fulfilling the strategic goal of making Bruyère Health the leader in healthcare quality both regionally and provincially, by developing and maintaining a strong foundation that supports the delivery of exceptional patient/client care and experience. This role focuses on creating highly reliable systems, prioritizing exceptional experiences and continuous improvement, while driving measurable progress toward the quadruple aim of health quality: improved patient/client and provider experiences, value for resources spent, and healthier populations.

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Overseeing the corporate quality program
  • Supporting operational quality, patient/client safety, and performance programs
  • Managing the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) program
  • Enhancing best practices through external collaborations and quality education partnerships
  • Overseeing Health Records management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related discipline;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience at a senior management level in quality and patient/client safety in a major health organization, preferably, in an academic health organization;
  • Experience in the application of high reliability organization principles to improve organizational performance;
  • Track record of putting patients/clients at the center of every decision;
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale quality and patient/client safety improvement and change management projects;
  • Experience developing quality assurance systems and associated experience in data analytics;
  • Experience in developing and implementing measurable organizational benchmarks;
  • Experience in enabling the on-going development and implementation of organizational best practices related to quality and patient/client safety;
  • Experience in implementation of complex projects and systems.

Preferred:

  • Fluent in French and English
