Activation Aide

Home: Regency Long Term Care

Location: Port Hope, ON

Position: Activation Aide- Casual - No Line

• Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with seniors in a long term care setting.
• Must possess good communication skills, written and verbal. Computer skills an asset, must have a valid drivers license. An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly.

Skills & Abilities/Job Routines

• Assists in the planning, organizing and implementation of meaningful programs
• Promotes and supports a team environment
• Works co-operatively with the Program Manager and facility volunteers
• Assists with the maintenance and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers, and staff of other departments
• Shares responsibility for the care of the equipment in the department
• Follows Occupational Health & Safety standards
• Attends in service education
• Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans
• Performs other duties as assigned
