Activity Aide
Department: Resident Programs Department
Position: Activity Aide
Shifts: Days/Afternoons/Evenings
Qualifications: Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, Registered ECE, Social Service Worker, kinesiology, or other related field from a community college or university or enrolled in same. If enrolled, must complete the program within 3 years of hire date. Technical competencies include:
Complaint resolution, public relations, project management principles, ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Microsoft word, excel and outlook, facilitation skill.
Experience: 1- 2 years preferably in a long-term care setting, experience in assessing activation needs, development, implementation and evaluation of activation programs.
Consideration will be given to those applicants who are not in school.
