Your opportunity:
We are recruiting for a Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator to provide teaching support services for the undergraduate chemistry laboratories within the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences. Under the general direction of the Technical Operations Manager, the incumbent will contribute to the efficient and successful operations of large enrollment undergraduate laboratory courses by providing technical and administrative support. You will oversee the day-to-day operational needs of the laboratory, act as the first point of contact for general enquiries, and collaborate with course instructors to determine laboratory set-up requirements and ensure the material needs of laboratory exercises are available.
The Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator will contribute to the development of new first year laboratory content, as well as, develop and support strategies to improve the overall student experience. This essential role has a direct impact on the laboratory experience of students that both attracts and retains a high-caliber student population.
