JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist provides a full range of Human Resources support to the organization's managers, supervisors and employees. They act as clients' first point of contact and work collaboratively to ensure optimal employee and labour relations management in alignment with corporate goals, objectives, policies, applicable legislation and best practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Labour Relations
Provides support on labour relations matters arising from the administration, interpretation and communication of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and employment legislation
Manages all stages of the grievance process, including conducting grievance meetings, preparing responses and settlements
Creates arbitration briefs and provides support throughout the arbitration process
General HR Support
Responsible for the full cycle for the recruitment of the non-unionized positions
Participates in the job evaluation process as part of the committee.
Collaborates and acts as a lead in health and safety initiatives
Supports the disability management process, including RTW plans implementation
Participates and/or leads employee engagement, appreciation and recognition events
Participates and provides HR input on the strategic plan and projects
Participates in various committees such as Wellness and DEI.
