As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of human resources activities including recruitment, benefits and pension administration, health & safety, disability management, HR analytics, employee & labour relations, and special projects.

  • Salary: $57,919.15 - $69,159.48

What will you do?

  • Support employees through the employee life cycle including onboarding, exiting, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Conducts employee corporate orientation sessions as Human Resources representative.
  • Provides recruitment support with preparing job postings, scheduling interviews, and new hire/transfer packages, as needed.
  • Supports the administration of organization’s benefits and pension programs including education of entitlements, maintaining provider system with up-to-date data, and auditing.
  • Provides support for applicable leaves of absence (LOA), including maternity, parental, jury, compassionate care, personal, etc.
  • Support and promote health and safety practices and processes.
  • Transcribes and/or distributes external and internal documents such as copies correspondence, minutes.
  • Record management of confidential Human Resources related files.
  • Orders, creates and maintains HR forms/organizational charts/booklets/programs and supplies.
  • Assists with the development, implementation and maintenance of Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Supports the administrative, analytical, and reporting function of the Human Resources team.
  • Maintains and updates information for Human Resources section of the Intranet.
  • In consultation with the Human Resources Business Partner, provides guidance and support to Managers and employees on the interpretation of the Collective Agreement, Human Resources policies and legislation.
  • Ensures that confidentiality and professional discretion is maintained through consultation with members of the management team.
  • Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of special projects and/or assignments as required.
  • Participates on internal and/or external committees as required.
  • Provides back-up support to Scheduling.
  • Supports the team and works with team members to ensure department needs are met including absence coverage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What must you have?

  • Diploma in human resources, industrial relations, business administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three (3) years of previous experience in a Human Resources position.
  • Experience in Human Resources administration including recruitment and labour relations.
  • Experience utilizing a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Experience in maintaining confidential files.
  • We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date.

What would give you the edge?

  • Possession of or progression toward a certification with the Human Resources Professional Association (CHRP or CHRL) an asset.
  • Ability to speak French or another second language.
