Department: Anesthesia and Pain Management
Work Model: On-Site
Reports to: Business Administration Manager
Grade: N0:04
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: $28.32 - $35.40 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Weekdays, Monday - Friday
Status: Temporary Full Time (until June 2026)
Closing Date: October 30, 2024

Position Summary
The Administrative Coordinator acts as a facilitator and key resource for the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management (DAPM) on clinical anesthesia scheduling and administrative matters across UHN and Women's College Hospital.

Duties

  • Coordinates departmental clinical scheduling and administrative activities
  • Provides administrative support for the deputy site head and anesthesia program leads
  • Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the office
  • Provides support with financial activities
  • Provides support with special projects, as assigned and/or requested
  • Performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested
  • Works in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contravention's of the Act, in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • At Minimum, completion of a 2-year community college program in health care administration or recognized equivalent
  • Business, organization, or management training at the college or university level, preferred
  • At minimum over 4 years up to and include 6 years practical and related experience and/or 2 years on the job training required
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word-processing, database and spreadsheet software experience required
  • Experience in a Microsoft Office environment required
  • Excellent organization and time management skills required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to produce high quality and accurate work in accordance with Hospital standards required
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player required
