Anaesthesia Assistant Anaesthesia Department

The Anesthesia Assistant provides clinical care and technical assistance to the Department of Anesthesia with the set up and monitoring of anesthesia in all areas of the Operating Room, PACU, Labor and Delivery, Diagnostic Imaging, Cystoscopy and all other related areas where anesthesia may be involved, in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies, medical directives and physician¿s orders.

Qualifications include:

• Must have completed an Advanced Anesthesia Assistance Certificate Program
• 1 year experience as an Anesthesia Assistant in the operating room preferred.
• Must hold BCLS Certification.
• ACLS and PALS required.
• Must be a member in good standing with the CRTO.
• Membership to CAS and CSRT AA SIG recommended.
• NRP is considered an asset.
• Satisfactory attendance record.
