Reports to: Director, UHN Flow
Work Model: In-Office
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: $66,924-$83,655 per annum
Status: Permanent Full Time
Closing Date: April 10, 2025

Position Summary

The Analyst for Patient Flow provides service internally and to the broader hospital community. The Analyst will support the portfolio in a range of activities including: the collection, monitoring, and analysis of patient flow data; working collaboratively with members of the patient flow portfolio and stakeholders to help develop and implement strategies and continuous improvement activities to meet the patient flow goals; and performing cross-functional responsibilities or other duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • Under-graduate Degree - Business Administration or Industrial Engineer preferred but not required
  • Proven stakeholder management experience, including negotiating, influencing, and consensus building
  • Sound knowledge of planning, implementation, evaluation, risk assessment, and benefits realization
  • Experience in systems analysis and problem resolution
  • Experience with workflow analysis and project schedules
  • Knowledge of data analysis, financial analysis, and statistical design
  • Proficiency with data retrieval, analysis, synthesis, and dissemination
  • Willing to develop proficiency in EPIC reporting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel)
  • Experience using HTML; website development and maintenance is an asset
  • Experience with process re-development and creating process flow map
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, prioritization, and organization skills
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and / or departmental policies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse management and employee groups, and individuals
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in new environments and culturally sensitive situations
  • Ability to adapt to change; implement and manage change, and facilitate its acceptance by others
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred
