Angio Technologist MI CT/Angio (Job ID: 8072)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs Computed Tomography and Interventional procedures to produce imaging and high quality diagnostic radiographs via practice of radiation safety procedures and adherence to a strict code of aseptic techniques.
- Provides optimum patient care and demonstrates a professional manner in the work setting.
- Actively participates in team building concepts, and development of departmental goals.
- Operates and maintains equipment via participation in Quality Control and Quality Assurance tests.
- Participates in teaching and training students and hospital employees, and communicates with Clinical Coordinator on student progress/problems.
- Organizes, prioritizes and co-ordinates scheduling of procedures, communicates verbally with appropriate personnel re: procedure types, lab results, equipment failures, policies and procedures.
- Assists, instructs, and educates patients prior to, during, and after procedure.
- Assists nurses/radiologist with patient and room preparation and clean up.
- Assists in gathering and coding requisitions, maintaining records and data entry. Manipulates, archives and stores medical images.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registration and good standing with the college of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario.
- Recent CT and/or Interventional experience an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and organization skills.
- Understanding and commitment to the Hospital's Mission and Values.

- Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and accurately, both autonomously and as an effective team member.

- Ability to work all shifts including on-call.
