Reporting to the Director of Care, The Behaviour Support Outreach (BSO) will serve as an in-house expert on identifying and managing responsive behaviours. The dedicated BSO will function in a specialty role providing enhanced expertise to residents presenting with or at risk for responsive behaviours associated with complex and challenging mental health, dementia, complex mental health, substance use and/or other neurological conditions. The BSO will collaborate with the Psychogeriatric Resources Consultants, hospitals, CCAC, primary care providers, and other providers and professionals. The BSO will manage and coordinate ongoing behavioural support.
The BSO is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values and employee guiding principles, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.
