POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Practice Coach reports to the Clinical Director or Regional Director at the Service Delivery Centre (SDC). As Clinical Practice Coach, you will provide clinical practice leadership for Registered Nurses (RN) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), using a coaching, mentoring, and quality improvement approach. The key responsibilities and deliverables of this role include the delivery of interdisciplinary clinical practice education and competency assessment in collaboration with the Professional Practice Leadership Team, clinical practice orientation and onboarding of new staff, chart audits, clinical practice coaching visits, provide reflective practice opportunities to front-line providers, liaison with local University programs as the nursing student placement coordinator or designate for the business line, and quality improvement. This clinical and professional practice leadership role supports the business line to ensure that person and family centered, quality, and safe care is delivered by engaged nurses. In collaboration with operations leadership, you will deliver on client, employee, operational and clinical performance to promote, sustain and maintain excellence in client care and evidence-informed practice. Further, the clinical practice coach will be part of the Professional Practice Team (e.g. Advanced Practice Leaders, Clinical Practice Resource Team, and Clinical Practice Coaches) and will lead quality, safe care through the work of the Office of Clinical Quality, bringing love and happiness through our H.O.P.E.™ Model of Care.
