Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $49.86 - $62.32 per hour: : To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Status: Temporary Full-time (1 year contract)

Position Summary

Working under the direction of the UHN Clinical Research Executive Chair(s), the Clinical Research Manager brings expertise in program management and development, building and managing teams, implementing operations, and overseeing and planning the operational budgets. In addition, the incumbent participates in project design and developing and maintaining to ensure deliverables keep on track and meet deadlines.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the clinical research refresh according to UHN's strategic plan. This position will utilize knowledge of translational project management to lead moderate to complex projects including working closely with the site Clinical Research Units (CRU's) . The incumbent will be responsible for planning, developing and coordination of all aspects of multiple projects including monitoring the deliverables; working with delegates from the EVP office to understand project goals, challenges and priorities to develop, socialize and manage multi-year strategy, liaise with collaborative internal counterparts (UHN Clinical Research Units) and stakeholders and collaborate with key appoints in each business unit to consolidate feedback, strategic direction and ensure unified execution.

Duties

  • Execute UHN Clinical Research Collaborative Center strategy and initiatives, and ensuring alignment across UHN Clinical Research Units
  • Lead and facilitate communication across UHN Collaborative Centers. Collaborate with other Collaborative Centers to identify synergies and alignments aimed at increasing efficiency and execution of
  • Collaborate with Clinical Research Unit managers to identify, manage, escalate and resolves issues related to clinical research operations
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of systems to support clinical research (CTMS, eTMF)
  • Recognize opportunities for new ways of working and share experiences across Collaborative centers and Units
  • Establish, and oversee the formation of working groups at the UHN level to manage and support introduction of new trial indications/complex therapies (Cell Therapies/CAR T)

Qualifications

  • At minimum, Bachelors or recognized equivalent, in a health or science-related discipline ,
  • At minimum, 3 to 5 years clinical and/or professional experience, and At least 3 years clinical research experience, required
  • 2 to 3 years supervisory/management experience, required
  • 2 to 3 years experience in research contract budget management, required.
  • Holds recognized certification in clinical research (e.g., ACRP or SOCRA)
  • Experience in research program outcome analysis
  • Experience in the development and writing business operation plans
  • Ability to manager tight deadlines
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to express complex technical concepts effectively
  • Well-developed leadership, listening and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, customer relations and ability to act with discretion
  • Excellent problem recognition and solving abilities
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple priority projects and timelines efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, database and applications required.
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
