St. Joseph's Health Centre is looking to recruit C.T. Technologists to join our wonderful team. We have Technologist Assistants and coordinators to help and assist the technologists in day to day activities This position is one of a team of technologists, working with the CT/Interventional Charge Technologist, Diagnostic Imaging, primarily responsible for high quality CT/Interventional Services to meet the needs of our referring physicians and patients. Our team works in a fast paced environment performing all types of CT scans including CT colonography, Cardiacs, nerve root blocks, wire localizations, biopsies and drainages. Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Organizes, prioritizes and co-ordinates scheduling of procedures, communicates verbally with appropriate personnel regarding procedure types, lab results, equipment failures, policies and procedures
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
- Perform all technologist responsibilities to ensure a high quality diagnostic result
- Consult with the radiologist, nursing units and departmental nurses as to the special needs of each patient
- Assist in the development of protocols to ensure consistency and standardization of examinations
- Assist in inventory control, including ordering and restocking of supplies
- Administer contrast media as required
- Assist radiologist with biopsies and other procedures as required..
- Ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources
- Demonstrates commitment to a patient- and family-centered approach to care
- Respects patient rights and needs, and foster an environment that encourages the patients¿ involvement in their own care. This commitment is extended to patients from all cultures and backgrounds, ensuring all are treated with dignity, equity and respect.

- Monitors patient status and responds to any change in condition, to ensure patient safety and comfort

- Must be able to work independently and without supervision
- Other duties as assigned and required for operational purposes
- Shifts include days, evenings and weekends and on-call responsibilities as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario.
- CAMRT and OAMRS current registration an asset.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be certified to inject contrast media.
- 2-3 years¿ experience as a Radiological Technologist required.
- Recent CT experience is required.
- Interventional Experience preferred.
- Cross-sectional anatomy courses an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal/written), and organizational skills
