Position: Developmental Paediatrician
Effective July 1, 2025, a Developmental Paediatric position is available in the Division of Developmental Paediatrics, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital is an academic health science centre affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada's largest pediatric rehabilitation hospital, and is home to the Bloorview Research Institute. We are a provincial tertiary facility that sees more than 7,500 children and youth in ambulatory care with over 600 inpatient admissions each year. We serve young people from birth to 19 years old with disabilities, rehabilitation needs and complex health and developmental needs.
We are recruiting a Developmental Paediatrician (or equivalent) with an academic career commitment and clinical experience focused on children and youth with autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. As an integral member of our team, your responsibilities will include the provision of clinical care and the pursuit of academic activities including teaching and/or the opportunity to participate/lead in creative professional activities and quality initiatives. The successful applicant must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatrics (or equivalent). Completion of a Subspecialty Training/Fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics, or equivalent academic experience is mandatory. Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Role accountabilities will be divided 70% clinical time and 30% academic time
- On-call responsibilities for our inpatient units
- Involved in the supervision/training of students/residents
- Clinical duties will include ambulatory consultation and patient care in the area of developmental disorders
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Certificate or fellowship in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians or equivalent
- Subspecialty Residency or Fellowship completion in Developmental Paediatrics or equivalent academic experience is mandatory
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of the Centre's Vision, Values and Mandate
- Client- and family-centred approach to care
