Salary range: $115,000 - $140,000 (with additional benefits such as bonuses, pension contributions, etc.)

The Director, Campaign Engagement will be instrumental in the development, implementation and execution of a robust campaign engagement program with a focus on senior campaign volunteers and internal stakeholders. Through these efforts, the Director will foster a culture of engaged volunteers and partners that will be an essential driver in reaching ambitious fundraising goals in addition to increasing levels of volunteer satisfaction, involvement and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver educational programs for volunteers and staff so they understand the campaign vision, key priorities, plans, and their specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide support to the Campaign Chair(s) and Cabinet members, including the coordination of regular meetings, material development, and others supports for key volunteers.
  • Create a framework for regular communication with the Campaign Chair(s), Board, Campaign Cabinet, medical and research leadership, and Foundation staff so that all stakeholders are apprised of the campaign's progress.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to colleagues and volunteers who serve as partners in Campaign activities.
  • In partnership with the Senior Director, Donor Experience and Stewardship, develop a suite of communications, recognition and stewardship frameworks for campaign donors and volunteers that are complimentary to, and enhanced by the PMCFs regular stewardship practices.
  • In partnership with the Chief Development Officer, support the Fundraising Advisory Board (FAB) committee and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and facilitate a model of collaboration between and the campaign cabinet and the FAB.
  • Establish a suite of reports that measure volunteer engagement, and partner with frontline fundraisers to ensure their partnerships with campaign volunteers are effective, responsive to the needs of the cancer centre, and stewarded in a meaningful way.
  • Ensure volunteer engagement stewarded appropriately and is celebrated and highlighted across the organization, including but not limited to campaign signature events.
  • Share volunteer best practices, resources and materials across the PMCF in the spirit of collaboration and consistent volunteer experiences across business units.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience in volunteer management, stewardship, fundraising, alumni relations and/or project management.
  • Volunteer management and/or Stewardship management experience is preferred;
  • Strong strategic orientation and experience in establishing and delivering on long-term plans while leveraging immediate opportunities and managing short-term objectives
  • Proven track record in identifying strategic business development opportunities and developing and leading such initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, with proven interpersonal savvy and a keen sense of diplomacy
  • Experience working in a large, complex organization building consensus and achieving results
  • Effective project and event management skills
  • Solid business acumen along with advanced analytical and budgeting experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, (e.g. volunteers, donors, corporate partners and Cancer Centre representatives)
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed ability to create engaging, effective and targeted presentations coupled with confidence in presenting to diverse groups of varying sizes
