Salary: $71,955 to $89,954 annually (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)

Position Summary

The Analyst will report to a Senior Application Manager, in coordination with the Team Lead. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual, who will participate in support activities, system and business analysis, system upgrades, and testing. Maintains expert knowledge in providing analysis of workflow, recommends solutions, and implements application solutions to support customers.

This is an application support position that requires both a technical and business understanding of UHN Digital's supported applications.

Duties

  • Responsible for system build, workflow analysis and performing other such tasks as analyzing new releases to determine workflow modifications by conducting system testing and conversion data validation. Translates department requirements into business functional requirements.
  • Responsibilities include assisting with the design, development, system configuration, implementation and support of assigned Epic applications for the organization. Also responsible for planning, training, and evaluation of application functionality.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Team Leads, and co-workers to ensure an atmosphere is fostered where exceptional customer service is the standard.
  • Responsible for working with key stakeholders to ensure appropriate development of training and implementation of application functionality.
  • Works closely with a variety of multi-disciplinary teams to facilitate the development of integrated workflows and define processes that cross applications and functional areas.
  • Handles production and operational problems expediently and efficiently requiring individual judgment and latitude for independent action to solve problems within generally defined policies and procedures.
  • Communicates with external software vendors when needed to ensure that ongoing business and functional requirements are maintained.
  • Informs management of potential service level problems before they occur and communicates solutions.
  • Periodic assignment to Digital projects e.g. Epic Optimization Phase demand items, new application implementation, or integration.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to senior management to facilitate decision-making
  • Develops end-user training content/tip sheets for new feature enhancements using clear and concise language.
  • Provides support and/or facilitates monthly end-user or ad hoc meetings.
  • Documents system problems and resolutions for future reference.
  • Exercises ITIL Change Management principles/techniques.
  • Participates in organizing and conducting weekly team meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned in a manner consistent with the job classification.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree required in Computer Science, Math, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of Epic experience including build, test, and support.
  • Certification in one or more Epic applications in the areas related to the Research Module is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills required.
  • Excellent Incident and Problem management skills including analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Able to effectively deal with high-priority unscheduled tasks and problems.
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in performing standard application testing.
  • Self-motivated team player who can work with minimal supervision on simple to moderately complex tasks.
  • Able to work with multidisciplinary teams positively and productively.
  • Experience working with the Cogito tool will be an asset.
