Lab Technician, Emergency Sjhc

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of an approved Laboratory Technician program/course.
• OSMT or CSMLS certification required
• Previous experience with saline lock insertions preferred or willing to obtain within completion of orientation
• Performing ECGs
• Obtaining and labeling laboratory specimens
• Initiating intravenous/saline locks
• Preparing patients for assessment, including undressing, attaching monitor leads
• Facilitating patient flow as directed
• Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills when working with patients, co-workers and hospital staff.
• Demonstrates characteristics of a strong team player.
• Must be able to work 12 hour days, evenings, nights weekdays, weekends and STATS
• Satisfactory attendance record.

Shifts are subject to change as per departmental needs.

This contract is until May 2025.
