We are recruiting for an experienced Manager, Clinical Development to join our Toronto clinical team. We have two openings, and these will be based in Toronto/GTA.

Job Overview:

The Manager, Clinical Development plays a key role in supporting 123Dentist clinics to provide the highest level of care to all patients. Through clinical training and development, they provide teams with the tools for optimal and comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, leading dental hygiene meetings and study clubs for consistency operatory to operatory, helping improve systems in offices for improved efficiencies and communication amongst team members, educating dental professionals how to effectively use digital technology for patient experience and education as well as integrating clear aligner therapy programs in clinics. The ideal candidate will also work closely with the education team to provide clinical learns both in person and online to assist in the success of action plans created and in office visits. The Manager, Clinical Development, will also follow up as needed and evaluate the success of initiatives using metrics.

The Manager of Clinical Development will have a high degree of attention to detail, be an effective and engaging presenter - both written and verbal - and be able to motivate and educate dental professionals to be the best they can be.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support Dental Hygiene Teams to implement optional patient care that is consistent in each operatory
  • Ensure that clinics are working towards optimal standard of care
  • Optimize scheduling and efficiencies in offices
  • Provide training on the digital dental workflow to clinics utilizing the iTero Scanner
  • Guide teams on the ultimate patient experience using the iTero Scanner for patient education
  • Introduce systems to improve communication leading to smoother workdays
  • Support integration of clear aligner therapy in clinics
  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine support needs of clinics and team members
  • Creation and presentation of educational content utilizing various delivery methods
  • Stay up to date on Dental Hygiene and Digital Dentistry
  • Understand and be able to present metrics related to clinic performance
  • Other duties as required by the Director, Clinical Development

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Must hold a Dental Hygiene License/Registration in ON
  • Must have a minimum of eight (8) years in Dental Hygiene and two (2) years of mentoring other team members
  • Passionate about an excellent patient experience

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and collaborate with others
  • Ability to influence and lead doctors and teams to take action
  • Strong communicator with high comfort level in presenting in front of others
  • Digital scanning experience, preferably with iTero
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to inspire change
  • Must have computer skills and experience with Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Requires up to 80% travel (mostly day travel with some overnight obligations)
  • Knowledge of restorative dentistry
  • Knowledge and experience in orthodontics, particularly clear aligner therapy
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Active driver's license in ON
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at times
