The Manager, Quality, Analytics, & Evaluation, is a key member of the Clinical Transformation Team who will navigate the changing healthcare landscape, developing relationships with internal and external partners to support the integration of Remote Care Management (RCM) and Virtual Care into OHTs and the healthcare system more broadly. This role will be integral to promoting the scale and spread of value-based virtual care, while guiding and supporting strategic planning through quality monitoring, analysis and evaluation of virtual care programs. The Manager will work with team members to support the development of a quality framework for RCM and ensure that program data and evaluation findings are communicated effectively. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Transformation, the Manager, Quality, Analytics, & Evaluation will ensure that OH Regional teams and their affiliated OHTs are supported in building clinical virtual care programs that transform the way healthcare is delivered in Ontario. Working within the Primary and Community Based Care (PCBC) Portfolio, the Manager leads a team devoted to research, analysis, and knowledge translation related to the implementation and use of virtual care and RCM within acute, primary and community-based settings. The Manager, Quality, Analytics & Evaluation ensures that data and recommendations from program evaluations inform quality improvement activities with a goal of creating an optimal virtual care experience for patients and providers. This role is also responsible for evaluation vendor management and processes and liaises with members of the Ministry of Health's Digital Branch to provide ongoing status updates and reports and responding to specific requests for virtual care progress in the province, as well as key metrics from annual business or operational plans.
In this direct supervisory role, the Manager is responsible leading and coaching a team focused on the analysis of virtual care program data, quality monitoring and knowledge translation related to evaluation and implementation science. The Manager collaborates with other teams within the PCBC Portfolio, as RCM and virtual care are key contributors to other teams' population health initiatives and strategies. This role also works with the Digital Excellence in Health portfolio to ensure alignment of activities and identifying provincial opportunities to help standardize or facilitate Regional and OHT work.
Here is what you will be doing:
Build and lead a team dedicated to generating data and knowledge products that inform RCM and Virtual Care Strategy in Ontario
Actively participate in key Regional and OHT meetings to support care transformation through virtual care, potentially leading key strategic provincial working groups.
Identify opportunities to promote and advance the transformation of care to support Regions and their OHTs
Develop and lead the implementation of a knowledge translation plan for successful virtual care initiatives throughout the province including working with Communications to develop case studies, business cases and benefits analysis/lessons learned, sharing published research, and establishing regular dissemination and stakeholder engagement vehicles including provincial webinars, etc.
Navigate procurement and vendor agreements related to program evaluation
Identify opportunities to promote the Transformation of Clinical care in support of OH Business Plan, Region and OHT priorities
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years of demonstrated experience in health care sector management and/or consulting
Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Administration or other related degree, or equivalent experience; Master's preferred
Experience leading teams preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Strong coaching and team management skills
Excellent listening and consultative skills to fully understand the respective stakeholder(s)
Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills with demonstrated ability to build collaborative internal relationships, at many levels and across diverse disciplines.
Strong understanding of Ontario's health care system and the overarching provincial health care strategy, including a broad knowledge of the specialty area, healthcare environment, including health care providers and support team, their roles, their interactions and challenges.
Ability to work independently with excellent planning and organizational skills.
Must be a self-starter and self-initiator who is able to work with minimal supervision.
Understanding of virtual care platforms and equipment (software and hardware-based technology).
Strong technical skills including comprehensive use of Microsoft applications.
