TELUS Health is looking for a Medical Imaging Technologist to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our Toronto Bay Street Care Centre. This is a Casual Part-Time position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client-centered team-based care by performing medical imaging procedures such as x-rays, bone density scans and will practice in accordance with the vision and values of TELUS Health care Centres, with client safety and client experience as a priority.

What you’ll do

  • Perform medical imaging procedures according to prescriptions and protocols during business operating hours
  • Act as the Radiation Protection Officer
  • Perform Quality Assurance on a daily basis
  • Perform certain administrative tasks as needed, such as:
    • Medical appointments
    • Registering patients
    • Procedural explanations, positions and scanning
    • Disinfecting environment
    • Participating in implementing directives from Accreditation Canada
    • Follow up with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff to ensure excellent customer service

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Graduate of an accredited medical radiology program
  • Sonography certificate and experience is an asset
  • Current certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
  • Bone density certified
  • Strong professional judgement, organized and able to manage your time effectively
  • Strong problem solver, ability to critically think and analyze data
  • Diligent, autonomous, punctual, discreet, good people skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Experience in operation a GE Prodigy Bone Densitometry device a strong asset
