Position Summary
University Health Network (UHN) is looking for an experienced professional to fill the key role of Nurse Practitioner in our Krembil Brain Institute (KBI).
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions in an expanded nursing role demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill to formulate clinical decisions and appropriately manage patients principally in the Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) program and across broader neurosurgical program. The role will require strong ability for independent practice but also collaboration with interprofessional team members to ensure seamless intervention and communication regarding specific NPH, other neurosurgical as well as varied medical issues and treatments. As an integral member of the clinical team providing care to specific patient population, the NP will also provide leadership in identifying opportunities for improving patient care and provide support, guidance and facilitate the development of knowledge in nursing staff involved in this population of patients.
