Job Summary:
The UHN Halo Telemonitor Program is dedicated to remotely monitoring and ensuring the safety of patients. As a member of the Telemonitoring team, the Patient Observation Technician provides continuous observation & monitoring to patients who are identified as a safety risk.
The principal responsibilities include: provides continuous remote observation to an identified group of patients; sets up software & equipment for remote observation; receives report and documents relevant patient activity as necessary; re-directs the patient via audio device as necessary; works with & seeks assistance from inter-disciplinary team as required; identifies & reports all safety concerns; and performs cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with job classification as assigned or requested.
As a member of the team, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to patients through remote communication channels. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
