Pharmacy Technical Grad
Role: The Pharmacy Technical Grad will work in collaboration with Registered Pharmacy Technicians providing safe and effective drug distribution.
Location: Unity Health Toronto - St Michael's Hospital Site.
Position Type: Full Time Temporary, 1 year
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technical Grad is responsible for carrying out all functions of a Pharmacy Technician within the scope as an Intern. This role will report to the Pharmacy Site Manager at St Michael's Hospital. This position will play an important role in drug distribution and patient care, including:
- Utilizing pharmacy automation and automated dispensing cabinets
- Sterile and non sterile compounding in accordance with NAPRA standards
- Medication dispensing
- Inventory management
- Narcotic and Controlled Drug distribution
Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a Pharmacy Technician Intern
- Actively pursuing registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Strong communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving skills, and critical thinking
- Ability to maintain accuracy in a fast pace environment
- Proficiency in relevant software applications (EPIC) an asset
- Demonstrate commitment to the mission and values of Unity Health Toronto
