DMOH at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is the largest such program in Canada, and is among the largest in North America. Comprised of about seventy senior physicians, the program is supported by outstanding institutional infrastructure, pathology, medical imaging, molecular diagnostics and clinical genomics programs and, by a wide medical and allied-health multidisciplinary team. The program supports extensive clinical, translational, and basic research initiatives including a large clinical trials program. Additionally, DMOH supports a comprehensive training program attracting both national and international fellows.
DMOH seeks to identify a Physician Assistant to join our vibrant team to provide outstanding care to our patients. The PA joining the team would participate in the day-to-day management of patients on an outpatient basis in close collaboration with staff hematologists, fellows, nurses and other support personnel.
The PA will be based at the Toronto General Hospital, and function within DMOH and provide patient care in a team setting. The PA will focus on improving and enhancing the access to care, the quality of care, and therapy related symptom management. The PA will be offered training and educational opportunities both at orientation and also at an ongoing basis, and will be expected to develop their potential as a leader and teacher in DMOH. Additionally, there is also potential for involvement in research clinical trials.
