Grade: M0:05
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $44.95 - $56.19 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: 5 shifts per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary:

The GTA Rehab Network is a recognized regional leader in improving the planning and delivery of rehabilitative care in the greater Toronto area. Committed to the integration of rehabilitation throughout the continuum of care, we develop innovative solutions with our members and Ontario Health regions to advance best practices and enhance system efficiencies.

Our approach is highly collaborative. We engage our members, clinical experts and the OH regions to:

  • Develop and implement standardized, evidence-based best practices
  • Support the implementation of provincial guidelines and standards
  • Advance and support data analysis and reporting for rehab system planning
  • Improve processes to reduce fragmentation within the system
  • Identify and address emerging sector and system-level issues related to rehabilitative care.

The GTA Rehab Network is an influential voice for rehabilitation in the GTA. Our members are publicly funded hospital and community-based organizations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) that provide rehabilitation services.

Summary:

In collaboration with relevant task groups and secretariat staff, the Project Manager will be responsible for coordination and implementation of system-wide initiatives, ensuring projects progress within set timeframes to achieve stated deliverables. In collaboration with secretariat staff and GTA Rehab Network members, the Project Manager will be expected to take initiative to lead each project and participate in strategic discussions regarding project directions relative to health system priorities.

The Project Manager will among other duties:

Provide operational project leadership to various committees of the Network that address clinical and system-wide issues relating to rehabilitation across the continuum.

  • Develop and oversee project work plans in collaboration with secretariat staff and chairs
  • Analyze data reported directly to the Network and/or obtained through provincial data holdings (i.e., data from NRS / CCRS) in support of capacity planning and quality improvement.
  • Conduct literature reviews, design and analyze surveys and other data, develop presentations, conduct inventories, plan and facilitate member engagement.
  • Develop an understanding of rehabilitation services, resources and issues in the GTA.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Ministry and Ontario Health priorities and directions as they relate to rehabilitation services, resources and issues to inform work plans.
  • Participate in development of operating and strategic plans for the Network. Help to identify and support initiatives of interest to members in alignment with the Network's strategic goals.
  • Develop collaborative and supportive working relationships and engage with regional partners to initiate and support a variety of system-wide projects.
  • Perform other duties as required to support achievement of secretariat deliverables

Qualifications

  • Proven Project Management Experience
  • Master's Degree - with a preferred focus on Health/Public/Business Administration
  • Clinical Background in Rehabilitation Field
  • Familiarity with Publicly-Funded Healthcare Settings
  • Strong Skills in Critical Thinking and Data Analysis
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and with teams, taking initiative to lead initiatives in consultation with secretariat and task group chairs
  • Excellent Communication and Report Writing Skills
  • Computer literate in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
  • Familiarity with provincially reported performance metrics, indicators, CIHI data holdings for rehabilitative care services, and current MOH and OH priorities
