Reports to: Senior Clinical Manager
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $57.34 per hour - $71.67 per hour (To commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN compensation policy)
Shifts: Day Shifts
Status: Permanent Full-Time
Closing Date: November 12, 2024

Position Summary

As a member of the multi-disciplinary Eating Disorders Program at the Centre for Mental Health at UHN, the Psychologist I position contributes key clinical services as part of the evidence-based assessment and treatment protocols. Assessment, recommendations, treatment planning, treatment provision, consultation, and student supervision are all part of the scope of this position.

Duties

  • Completing psycho-diagnostic assessments for the purpose of evaluating the need for service, the nature of the problem, resulting in the formation of recommendations or a treatment plan
  • Implementing an intervention plan with patients
  • Working as part of multi-disciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes
  • Serve as a resource to other allied health team members in the provision of evidence-based psychotherapies including providing consultation, and preparing and delivering clinical presentations/trainings for staff
  • Participating in program and intervention development activities such as psychotherapy manual writing
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Ph.D. degree program in Psychology
  • Eligible for Certification by the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Experience working with patients with Eating Disorders an asset
  • Experience with CBT for eating disorders, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD or OCD a strong asset
  • Experience with motivational enhancement therapy an asset
  • Experience working in a hospital environment an asset
  • Student education/supervision experience an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
