Position Summary

As a key member of the Office of the President and CEO, the Senior Manager plays a vital role in driving strategic initiatives through project management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management. This position provides support to the Executive Leadership Forum, refines decision-making frameworks to enhance hospital operations, and develops strategic frameworks aligned with organizational goals. With a focus on monitoring health policy and industry trends, the role supports strategic planning, evaluates key initiatives, and collaborates on communications to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Duties

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify and manage strategic initiatives and system-wide planning processes.
  • Develop and oversee monitoring systems to track progress on strategic and operational goals.
  • Facilitate strategic working groups and contribute to committees, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Manage multiple departmental projects across sites, ensuring successful planning, implementation, and alignment with hospital objectives.
  • Partner with teams to develop action plans, risk assessments, and performance reporting systems.
  • Recruit, develop, and manage team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement, exploring new technologies and practices to enhance strategic outcomes.
  • Monitor industry trends in health policy, academic medicine, and research, incorporating them into strategic planning.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to staff, addressing performance issues and resolving disputes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Planning and coordination of international and national stakeholder delegations and on-site visits.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Health Administration or a recognized equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a management role.
  • Proven experience leading teams and projects in a complex environment.
  • Experience working with senior-level personnel is essential.
  • Hospital environment experience is preferred.
  • Strong management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with expertise in data analysis and trend identification.
  • Proven change management and leadership abilities.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting, especially using MS Excel.
  • Excellent presentation, technical writing, and training capabilities.
  • Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while producing high-quality work.
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the healthcare sector and applicable legislation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
