The TELUS Health Pharmacy team is a dynamic cross functional team within TELUS Health that represents various stakeholders in the pharmacy space from enterprise level pharmacy organizations, vendor integrations, care facilities and independent pharmacies. The Pharmacy product portfolio is diverse and touches on every facet of the industry - even patients!

We are seeking a dynamic Product Owner / Business Analyst to join our expanding API portfolio team at TELUS Health. The ideal candidate will drive product development through effective backlog management, Scrum planning, and detailed user story creation, ensuring alignment with product requirements and strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Backlog Management:
    • Create, prioritize, and maintain a well-defined product backlog
    • Ensure backlog items are ready for development sprints
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria:
    • Write clear, detailed user stories that capture business value
    • Define comprehensive acceptance criteria for features
    • Ability to iterate with product designers on user-facing experiences
    • Ensure stories meet quality standards and development readiness
  • Roadmap Planning:
    • Maintain a strategic product roadmap in partnership with product manager, taking into consideration team velocity
    • Communicate roadmap to stakeholders effectively
  • Scrum Planning and Milestones:
    • Lead sprint planning sessions and define sprint goals
    • Set and track key development milestones
    • Break down initiatives into sprint-sized tasks
    • Assist team in implementing and documenting development process improvements
  • Sprint Execution Support:
    • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews
    • Provide clarity on requirements and priorities to the development team
    • Collaborate with the Scrum Master to facilitate effective sprint execution

Qualifications

  • Ability to quickly understand technical details and dependencies related to APIs and other systems
  • Proven experience in creating, prioritizing, and maintaining product backlogs
  • Excellent ability to write clear, concise, and detailed user stories
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to balance short-term deliverables with long-term strategic goals
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence or other software management tools

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
