Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine
The Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine seeks to address health inequities, working alongside community organizations, UHN clinicians, marginalized populations, persons with lived experience, patients, and all levels of policymaking to co-design, evaluate, and scale innovative data-driven programs that lead to better health. Applying a social determinants of health approach, the Social Medicine and Population Health Program aims to bridge health services and the broader social environment of UHN's most medically and socially complex patients with the highest needs through the design, implementation, research and evaluation of new care models and initiatives to address the health implications of inequity.
Position Summary
The Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine is seeking a Social Epidemiology and Evaluation Specialist to work on under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Boozary. The position will support initiatives focused on the implementation and evaluation of new models of care, and is a unique opportunity to perform transformative research in the field of social medicine at a first-of-its-kind Centre. Key responsibilities will include leading qualitative interviews and qualitative data analysis of patients, clinicians and other stakeholders. The Social Epidemiology and Evaluation Specialist will draw conclusions for review and incorporation into quarterly research reports, assist in interpretation of results and preparation of material for presentation, publication and/or grants; assess literature routinely in the field of study, and may perform team-associated or study-related administrative tasks to support the successful completion of team tasks.
