Plumber - Building Maintenance Technician

As a Plumber here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in providing plumbing services for our customer in the healthcare industry. The Plumber is responsible for addressing issues identified by the customer and completing preventative maintenance tasks throughout the facility.

In this role, you will report to the Facility Manager, the Plumber will provide on-site maintenance support for our client in the healthcare industry. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to our customer, ensuring their satisfaction and building strong relationships. Your expertise and professionalism will contribute to the overall success of our team.

Must be comfortable in a customer focused environment, in which priorities can shift quickly. Participate in schedule rotation to ensure appropriate coverage of the site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance and repair of facility assets/systems such as pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the water, gas, and drainage on hospital property
  • Oversee heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and fire systems
  • Monitor alarms, gauges and other instruments
  • Carry out a preventative maintenance program through inspections of all mechanical systems and equipment associated with the plumbing and heating trade
  • Additional Responsibilities may include general building maintenance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Completion of Grade 12 or GED
  • Certificate of qualification as a Plumber (Red Seal)
  • 5+ years of plumbing experience
  • Vulnerable Sector Police clearance
  • Immunization (including COVID-19 vaccination) as required by the customer and in accordance with the Public Health Act

  • Previous work experience in a healthcare or hospital environment

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts
