Qualifications

-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-Current BCLS Certification
-ACLS mandatory
-Critical Care Nursing Certificate Preferred
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal applicants
-Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-The equivalent of one year's critical care experience within the past 3 years
-Experience in CQI teams
-Satisfactory Attendance for internal applicants
-Experience in the following added skills pertinent to critical care: Below Drip Chamber Drug Administration, Specialized IV Infusions, Rhythm Interpretation, Thrombolytic Therapy, Hemodynamic Monitoring and Ventilatory Care
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
-Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses).
