Qualifications

• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent is required
• Good organizational, mathematical and computer skills are necessary for this position
• Ability and desire to perform successfully in the following: a stockless inventory environment, computerized materials management system and data entry with emphasis on accuracy
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish required daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on emerging issues and immediate requirement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to liaise with departments in order to ensure sufficient stock levels for the provision of patient care, as well as professional interactions with vendors and delivery personnel
• Good proactive problem solving skills
• Ability to perform heavy, physical work and walk distances > 6 hours per day
• Preference will be given to those with previous experience in and understanding of Healthcare Materials Management (or specifically relatable experience)
• MDRD knowledge an asset
• Demonstrated satisfactory performance appraisals and attendance in current position if internal
• Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
