Certificate of Competence - College of Nurses of Ontario
Bachelor level university degree - Masters preferred
Evidenced management and clinical practice courses
At least 3 years progressive leadership experience within an acute care hospital setting
Extensive Surgical Knowledge and clinical experience - minimum 5 years
Strong knowledge of current personnel practices - Unionized employees, MOL
Ability to analyze key performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities
Demonstrated knowledge and experience related to project planning, strategic planning and policy development to improve patient care and experience within an acute care hospital setting.
Proven knowledge of teaching and mentoring techniques
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex situations.
Demonstrated leadership experience with a team of professionals including physicians
Demonstrated ability to foster team building
Ability to establish positive relationships with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, patients and their families
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
Commitment to People Centred Care and Service Excellence
Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
Satisfactory attendance record
