Qualifications
-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-Current CPR Certificate and IV Initiation Skills
-Current NRP Certification mandatory
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal applicants
-Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-Experience in OBS Nursing within the past 2 years with the following
added skills: vaginal examination, assisting with epidural anaesthetic,
fetal monitoring, syntocinon induction of labour and magnesium sulphate administration
-Completion of module one breastfeeding program (Level I) or
successful completion of challenge preferred
-Completion of Fetal Health Surveillance Course
-Committed to family centred care and patient focused care philosophy.
-Experience with paediatrics within past 5 years
-Satisfactory Attendance if internal
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
