QUALIFICATIONS:
-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-Current CPR Certificate
-Current ACLS Certificate
-CNO Gastroenterology Certification preferred
-Previous surgical Nursing/endoscopy experience preferred
-Knowledge of surginet computer documentation
-IV certification with below drip chamber drug administration
-ECG Interpretation Course preferred
-Knowledge of "Care and Handling of Endoscopes"
-Demonstrated ability for critical thinking, effective problem solving and conflict resolution
-Excellent communication skills to promote positive interdisciplinary team dynamics
-Documented commitment to continuing education through in-service, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal candidates
-Satisfactory Attendance for internal candidates
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
