Qualifications
-Current Certificate of Competence from College of Nurses of Ontario
-ACLS Mandatory
-Current BLS Certificate mandatory
-IV certification with previous experience with below drip chamber drug administration- Mandatory.
-ECG Interpretation or basic cardiac arrhythmia course required
-PACU / Critical care training preferred
-Previous surgical nursing experience is an asset to the position.
-Knowledge of SurgiNet computer documentation
-Satisfactory performance appraisal in current position for internal applicants
-Documented commitment to continuing education through inservice, staff meetings and self-motivated learning
-Satisfactory attendance for internal applicants
-Commitment to Patient Care & Safety and Service Excellence
-Satisfactory vulnerable person's sector criminal background check
-Must have and provide proof of full COVID-19 immunization (2 or more doses)
