Location: Montréal Salary: $36.05 per hour based on the CCQ agreement. Job category: Skilled Trades - Manufacturing Type of job: Permanent Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday

Tasks

  • Install, program, and test access control systems, home automation systems, surveillance cameras, and intercoms.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of properties to determine the best locations for security systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with alarm systems.
  • Repair and maintain existing systems to ensure their efficiency.
  • Provide explanations and demonstrations to clients regarding the functionality and maintenance of systems.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Coordinate the work of an apprentice technician.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • ASP health and safety cards.
  • CCQ skill card as a 220 or 222 trade companion.
  • Private Security Bureau card (or be eligible to apply for one).
  • Significant experience in security system installation.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of installation, programming, and troubleshooting systems.
  • Experience on large construction sites.
  • Proficiency in reading technical manuals, plans, and diagrams.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
