Job Description: The Unit Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day operations and resident care. The incumbent will facilitate the encouragement of critical thinking skills of the nursing staff as they are fostered to work to their full scope of practice.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Current CPR certification
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable

Competencies

  • Advanced - Verbal communication skills
  • Advanced - Written Communication Skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment
  • Ability to lead best practice
  • Ability to make decisions, which must include coordination of staffing

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
