Job Profile Description: As a member of the SHA (Keewatin) EMS system the EMT-P (ACP) reports to the EMS Manager for their area. The EMT-P (ACP) will deliver Emergency Medical Services with strict adherence to the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Saskatchewan College of Paramedics Treatment Protocols and Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, procedures and protocols.The EMT-P (ACP) will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-P (ACP) will cover standby assignment, as operations require.The EMT-P (ACP) will function as a part of the Primary Health Care Team for the effective delivery of Primary Health Care Services as required.

- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced/Intermediate Care Paramedic (EMT-A/PCP)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)
