As an Affiliate partner, the facility sets the program direction with the SHA providing the operating funding, but is an interactive partnership. Cupar & District Nursing Home Inc. is also known as 'SHALOM'. This name was chosen to characterize the wishes of all the sponsoring towns, municipalities and villages, for all residents who will call this their home. Shalom is both a welcome and a farewell. It was the greeting of Jesus to all mankind (touching the very root of the person). The word 'Shalom' is used as a wish for hope, rest, kindness and love.
