Job Description:

Responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service, providing Advanced Life Support, initial assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations, Emergency Health Services Basic and Advance Life Support Protocols, and organization policies and procedures.

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HCP Certificate (CPR-HCP)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Competencies

  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Advanced - Communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
