Family Physician - Davidson Primary Care Clinic

Job Description

The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a family physician to provide physician services in the Davidson Primary Care Clinic located in the Town of Davidson.

The Davidson Primary Care Clinic is connected to the Davidson Health Centre facility and provides a collaborative practice with Craik Primary Care. Both sites are supported by two physicians and one Nurse Practitioner. Emergency Department, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), as well as lab/x-ray services. Physicians will provide patient care and on call emergency coverage. This Physician will work closely with nurses, and other members of the health care team to meet the specific needs of this community and its surrounding area. Davidson is centrally located between Regina and Saskatoon on Highway 11 and conveniently, just 40 minutes from Lake Diefenbaker and Last Mountain Lake, which makes Davidson the ideal place to live, work and play.

Job Qualifications

This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.

The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Applicants will also hold ACLS certification.

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
