Job Description: The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reports to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. The only restriction that has been identified governing their participation in these departments is; No duties can restrict them from responding immediately to any ambulance calls. EMTs shall abide by the Sunrise Health Region and its Affiliates Mission, Vision, Values, Policies and Procedures.

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team

Other Information

  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
  • Esterhazy is located approximately 77 km east of Yorkton
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
