Job Description: Reporting to the EMS Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, provide initial assessment, treatment and transport of ill or injured persons.

Education

  • Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)

Licenses

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Standard Hours
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
