Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Social Worker - BSW Senior $37.949 to $46.403

Job Description: Provides direct clinical mental health and addictions services to children, youth, adults and their families. Performs generalized social work services as assigned. Services may include individual, group and family counseling, case management, and public education. Functioning as part of a multi-disciplinary team comprised of psychiatric nurses, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists and functions within the practice principles of the mental health and addiction services program management.

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Licenses

  • Registered Social Worker (RSW)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to be self-directed, creative, collaborative and to have sound judgement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and the community at large.
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced work environment with complex cases
  • Ability to complete case management assessments, follow-up and treatment
  • Uses critical analysis, reflective practice and assessment.
  • Ability to competently use computers and software applications
  • Knowledge in adult treatment and intervention techniques
  • Knowledge of crisis and suicide intervention and prevention programs
