College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) or equivalent. College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) full licence, plus ACLS. ATLS, PALS, ALARM, NRP, etc. highly recommended. Must love the rural and remote north.
For Itinerant and Locum: Travel to and from community provide. University mileage rates of personal vehicles. If using a rental vehicle, the cost is covered, plus fuel. Accommodation provided Return of Service with Saskatchewan is counted.
NMS is seeking individuals, or groups of physicians excited by the prospect of the north. Delivering relationship-based, patient-centered, full-scope practice, with an awareness around cultural safety combined with a sensitivity toward Indigenous wellness. This is the core of healthcare in the north; you will be providing high level care in rural and remote settings. NMS sites are well-equipped, staffed with other physicians and support workers, and most utilize remote presence technology. It is also important to note that there are NO OVERHEAD charges in any of our communities.
