Hours of Work: 168.00 hours per 6 week rotation

Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period

Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572

Travel Required: No

Job Description: The EMT-PCP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-PCP will cover standby assignment as operations require.

Education

  • Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)

Licenses

  • Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
  • International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider Certificate (BLS-HCP)

Competencies

  • Basic - Communication skills
  • Basic - Interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in diverse cultures, values and traditions

Other Information

  • Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
  • Kindersley is located approximately 200 km west of Saskatoon
  • Clean Driver's Abstract

  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
