Job Description: As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Community Mental Health Nurse provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case management services to residents of the health region. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, clinical supervision, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health issues and resources.

Education

  • Workplace Assessment and Violence Education certificate (WAVE)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable

Other Information

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
  • La Loche is located approximately 347 km north of Meadow Lake
  • Registered/eligible with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of SK
