Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Senior Dental Therapist will provide prevention services, diagnostic treatment planning, restorative/operative dental treatment, community and preventive dentistry services. The incumbent specializes in stimulating, coordinating, and delivering oral health promotion activities aimed at reducing disease and promoting oral health for people in the community. Incumbents must have an ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams. The incumbent will plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate the delivery of an active preventive oral health education and promotion program within the oral health professional's scope of practice. This position provides supervision, program management, and direction to the Oral Health Program.

Experience

  • 2 years' experience as a Dental Therapist

Education

  • Dental Therapy diploma

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)

  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan Dental Therapists Association (SDTA)
  • Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
